Forsthaus Neuhaus Restaurant in Saarbrucken

Update November 2020 - this time everything is great! Coming from a hike, getting a place without a reservation. The service was very correct and friendly, the food was great. And thank you very much for the help about the dog that was "lost" and got back again. (We only wanted to have a drink during our bike tour. We found a table which was reserved from 5:00 pm, it was 4:20 pm and we sat down. The service staff referred us from the table with the reason: If the guests were earlier he would have a problem. Our advice that we would be gone in 20 minutes he did not apply. So we sat down at a more uncomfortable set of beer tents. After at least 3 service staff passed us and we had drawn a person's attention to us and after that "... coming soon" no service took place, we left the forester's house in Neuhaus. May be a snapshot, but I'm writing this review!)

We celebrated our wedding here in the Forsthaus Neuhaus and want to anticipate that it was the best decision. The whole thing started when we had looked at many wedding locations and with most of them we had the feeling that we were being pushed into some kind of decoration concept or that the manner of the celebration was prescribed. It was different in the forester's house! We had our first preliminary talk for the celebration and were immediately informed that this should only be about us and our ideas about this day! Everything should be implemented as we as the bride and groom would like and to anticipate one thing: that's exactly how it was! Whether decoration, where we had absolutely free hand, or the arrangement of the individual table groups: we had the booklet in our hands and it was implemented as we wanted it! On our wedding day we could absolutely rely on EVERYONE involved (Lena, Robin, service staff), so that this day really turned out to be the most beautiful of our lives! All the preliminary talks were also absolutely relaxed and relaxed, which we really appreciated! Now to our summary: The location was absolutely great and we would recommend it at any time (we had rented both the restaurant and the barn)! The food was also absolutely delicious and there were many compliments from all the guests! Last but not least the service staff; Here too, great praise has to be given! The service at our wedding was excellent and left nothing to be desired! We had a really wonderful day and the Forsthaus Neuhaus incl. Lena, Robin and the service staff were mainly responsible for making this day our day! A big thank you!!

Super nice restaurant - good kitchen - great staff

Great service-relaxed atmosphere. Our food was great. We always like to come back. Also very nice in the beer garden in summer. And the kids have plenty of space outside to play.

A beautiful 🍻garten in the middle of 🌳🌲🌳. The waitresses were all super attentive, totally friendly. I immediately felt 'really good' 😊 Small menu, also seasonal dishes are offered. There is something for everyone here, regardless of whether you are hungry or small. We're going back there very soon ❤

Rude host, food mediocre compared to other restaurants in this price range. A plus are the hardworking service staff, for whom, unlike their boss, no distance is too far. Hard working and fast!

Nice ambience. Food is quite expensive. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for a portion of french fries and a salad. The staff is very nice and had a lot to do.

Unfriendly waitresses, very, very expensive, because we only had 5 drinks and 2 pieces of cake and were 30 €. There are also a lot of wasps that are very annoying!

We were there on 9.9.20 with 5 friends and we had such a nice evening .. Food was very tasty and the wines were great .. We were served so nicely by Chris! seldom seen someone who loves his job, is professional and lives it out !!

Best event ever! We celebrated my daughter's wedding there in September 2020. Absolutely everything was right here, down to the last detail. Went to this brilliant restaurant today. Surrounded by idyllic forest. Super nice beer garden. Very well-kept environment. Hardly at the table is a super, friendly employee at the start. From the first order on, prompt table service. Had the baked sheep cheese as a starter. The hammer !!! Super nicely arranged - no cheap cheese, great vegetables. A crispy, regional, fresh salad plate with the cream schnitzel. With schnitzel in cream sauce, fresh mushrooms (no scrap cans). For that an EXTRA star !!!! Also the time from the starter to the main course - optimal. Conclusion: There are parking spaces at the restaurant. Ideal! People with restricted mobility also come to the restaurant very well. The beer garden with shady, sunny places, really successful. Dogs are also welcome here. Drinks and menu is an eye-catcher. There is something for every taste and every budget. Our food was super fresh and very, very tasty. The whole team was really fit and always had a good dose of divine humor. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. Tippi- toppi. Our order was only taken after 40 minutes and then it took another 1 hour for the food to arrive. Drinks were only consumed once, after that we were practically ignored and there was not even a waitress in our vicinity. Food was mediocre. At the end of the day, the hardest question was the waitress, whether we would like to tip in cash or with a card. This is still on a voluntary basis and not a matter of course, especially not with such a service when there is little traffic.

We had to wait almost an hour for food. Service was moderately friendly and easily stressed. Other tables who ordered clearly after us got the food before us. Too expensive for the quality offered, it was tasty, but not enough.

Wonderful beer garden away from the hustle and bustle in the middle of the forest between Saarbrücken and Riegelsberg! Delicious dishes, good drinks, and a very hard-working service - what more could you want! I'll be back!

Super nice restaurant with a beautiful beer garden, the food is excellent and the ingredients of the best quality. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. After a hike in the beautiful jungle, the fortress house is the best place to fortify yourself and to sit together comfortably.

If I could I would give 500 stars ... we celebrated our wedding here big and everything was just perfect. The planning and organization, as well as the implementation on the evening itself could not have been better. The bosses were always available to answer questions and the girls who served that evening were very attentive and courteous. As always, the food was very, very tasty. The restaurant is also wonderfully located in the forest, so that we could celebrate beautifully both inside and outside. Thank you for the wonderful evening!

Just great for a walk. There are many ways that people who are not so good at walking can walk. I am often there. Also in the snow.

Really great place to have celebrations. They must have really put a lot of thought and work into this! The outside and inside area are spot on! The service was great and the food delicious. I've shot an amazing wedding here and it was marvellous! The weather was perfect, so maybe I am a bit biased 😜Ill add some photos, soon, so you can decide for yourself!
